Coastal Food Journal

Editorial policy

Coastal Food Journal aims to make food writing clear, useful and fair. We distinguish established information from interpretation, and we correct material when we find it is wrong.

Accuracy and sources

Writers check factual claims against suitable sources and use precise language where details vary by place or practice. We do not present uncertain claims as settled fact. Readers can send corrections through the Contact page; we review them and amend material when warranted.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions are kept separate from commercial arrangements. Any sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled so readers can tell what it is. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage.

Images and illustrations

Images are chosen to support the subject and are not presented as documentary evidence unless they are. Some illustrations may be AI-generated, and they are used as illustrations rather than records of real events or places.
