Coastal Food Journal

Write for us

We welcome pitches about coastal ingredients, cooking customs, kitchen craft and food traditions. Send proposals through the Contact page, with enough detail for us to see the angle and the reader benefit.

What makes a good pitch

Suggest one focused subject, explain what the piece will help readers understand or do, and say why it belongs in Coastal Food Journal. A useful pitch has a distinct point of view, a clear scope and a plan for handling facts and sources.

Contributions we consider

We consider reported explainers, comparisons, food histories and practical pieces for general readers. Keep advice within safe home cooking; avoid claims that require professional expertise, local rules or specialist testing to verify.

How to send it

Use the Contact page and select the editorial option. Include a short outline and any relevant writing samples or source notes. A proposal is not a promise of publication, and we do not require a finished article as a first approach.
